・As indicated by the “SCIENTIFIC SHOE FITTING” text on the insole, it features the asymmetrical inside straight/outside curve shape characteristic of orthopedic shoes.
・It holds the foot securely at the arch while incorporating extra toe room, creating a stress-free fit.
・Since it has extra toe room, the ideal fit is one where nothing presses against the toes.
・The ideal size should feel roomier in the toe box than your usual shoes while still providing arch support.
・It employs the now-rare “vulcanized construction method.” Instead of stitching the canvas upper to the rubber sole like sneakers, it uses pressure bonding to achieve a softer, more barefoot-like feel.
・Fitting is paramount, so please measure using the method below.

1. Print the paper measurement sheet (Print on A4 paper using “Actual Size.” If the print size is incorrect, your measurements will be inaccurate.)
2. Fold the paper measurement sheet along the “guide line” to create a valley fold.
3. Place a box-shaped object (stacked books or magazines can be used) against a wall. Align the valley-folded side of the measurement sheet with this object and secure it to the floor with tape.
4. Align your heel with the “guide line.” For the left foot, position the inner side of the foot along the vertical “guide line.” Keep your feet together, stand naturally, and look straight down. Mark the longest point of your foot with a pen where it is indicated. (Be careful not to injure your toes.) This is your foot length. Leaning too far forward or leaning back too much may result in selecting the wrong size.
5. Measure the other foot in the same manner. Most people have slight differences between their feet. Measure both feet and select the size corresponding to the longer foot. If you have concerns about foot width or instep height, please contact us. We recommend sending a photo taken straight from above when inquiring. Depending on your foot width or instep, we may recommend a half size up or down from the size indicated by your foot length.
